We've been travelling across the islands of Indonesia, and now we're going back to my hometown, Singapore!



We take off from Jakarta's airport...


...then head north. The grey area north of the airport is Jakarta.



Lots of puffy cumulus clouds today...


These are rivers near Palembang, Sumatra.


On the right of the airplane is the island of Bangka.


After leaving Sumatra, we travel for a while across the South China Sea, eventually reaching a group of islands called the Riau Linga islands.



We're almost at Singapore, but before that, we reach the islands...


...of Bintan (the larger island at the top of the screen)...


and Batam, just 20 miles southeast of Singapore. Looks like there's a thunderstorm ahead, I just saw a huge display of lightning right ahead.


We're landing at runway 20, so we're heading a bit up the Malaysian east coast, then turning left...


...and landing at Changi. What a downpour, with a tricky crosswind...
